Nail Of The Day: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Going Green + Sally Hansen Crackle + GLITTER!

This has got to be one of my favorite NOTDs (nail of the day) in a while ^_^
On my nails, I'm wearing Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Going Green. On my thumb nail, I'm wearing Sally Hansen Antiqued Gold. On my ring ringer, I decided to add one of my favorite glitter polishes before adding the crackle overcoat. I used Hard Candy Break Up under the Sally Hansen Distressed Denim crackle.

Can you see the glitter? Can you seeee it???
Hardly, I'm sure...the sun kept deciding to play hide & seek while I was trying to take my pictures....darn you sun!

Also, I have recently been featured on the American Apparel site!
 WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited! I've never been featured...anywhere. Ever.
My nail art using their Trench Coat nail polish was featured on their "Best of Seen and Submitted" section of their website!! :D

You can check out my nail art plus tons more on their site here:

Thank you so much for the feature American Apparel!!!

Nicki Minaj & Ricky Martin, New Faces of MAC Viva Glam for 2012!

MAC Cosmetics has officially announced their next Viva Glam spokespeople for 2012!
Nicki Minaj and Ricki Martin will be the new faces of the Mac Viva Glam campaign. They both are already in Miami taking photos for the upcoming campaign with David La Chappelle, a renowned photographer. The new campaign featuring this duo will be begin in February. Personally, I cannot wait to see what this pair comes up with for Mac, or vise versa.I also love how the proceeds from this campaign go to such a great cause! The Viva Glam campaign was created in 1994 to help those affected by the HIV/AID virus, and every cent from a purchase of a Viva Glam product goes straight to their fund.

Are you as excited as I am about the upcoming Viva Glam campaign? What colors do you think the upcoming lipsticks will be?
OR maybe Mac will change it up, and instead do something other than lipsticks?! O_O
You never know what's under MAC's sleeve...

Pretty Polish: American Apparel Summer Peach

I love wearing pastels in the summer time.
I especially love wearing the color peach....

It's definitely one of my favorite spring/summer time colors, and this light peach polish from American Apparel suits my liking just perfectly.

I find the contrast between this nail color and the color of my skin to be pretty awesome, but maybe that's just me!
How do you feel about pastels during the summer?

So far removed...
from all that we went through
And I tread a troubled track....
my odds are stacked
I go Back to Black
"Back To Black"

Though I battle blind...
love is a fate resigned
Memories mar my mind....
Love is a fate resigned
"Love is a Losing Game"

Such an extraordinary talent. Gone far too soon. I truly hope people remember her for her talent, and that she is finally able to find peace.

Oldie But Goodie: Half-Striped Nail Art

These pictures are SO old, but I figured I'd share them anyways.
I did this nail art lat year. I believe I even did a tutorial for it on my Youtube channel. This nail art was so easy, and took no time at all.
Please excuse the jacked up cuticles! These pictures were taken last year, before I knew about cuticle care...

The base color is American Apparel Trench Coat.I honestly can't remember what I used for the stripes. Sorry guys :(
More than likely I used nail art polishes. You can find those at the Dollar Tree if you're looking for any!
Hope you guys like this! Again...these nails were done in about 10-12 minutes, as far as I can remember. No time at all as far as nail art is concerned =)

Essence Gel Liners Swatches & Review!

I hope everyone is having a Happy 4th of July!

I'm not...but I won't get into that :(
(let's just say I missed out on A LOT of B.B.Q....GRRRRRR)

Today I have swatches and a review of all the Essence gel liners for you guys! I'm going to be honest, and say I was highly disappointed with two of the three liners...details will be given a little later in this post. I purchased all the Essence liners at Ulta.
You can see the complete haul that featured these liners HERE.

There are three gel liners total in the Essence line. There's London Baby, which is a brown liner with golden shimmer. Then there's Berlin Rocks, and that's a purple liner with a bit of iridescent shimmer. Finally, there's Midnight In Paris, which is a regular black liner. I was surprised by Midnight In Paris, because with a name like that you expect more shimmer! But no....no shimmer in that one. No biggie though.
The "biggie" with these liners, to me, is that the couple of liners that appeared to have shimmer in the pot, don't actually have shimmer in the swatch!!!
WHAT THE HECK?!
I mean, there's a very very verrry slight shimmer, but it's hardly noticeable.
The two I was most excited about....aren't exciting at all :(
Total let down for me.
On a positive note, all three liners have EXCELLENT staying power!
After wiping my wrist multiple times with a makeup remover wipe where I swatched the liners, you could still see remnants of the swatches.
So...yay for that :D
I'm still mad about the lack of shimmer though...maybe the more the product is layered, the more shimmer you'll see?
I'm not sure. I saw hardly any shimmer after swatching, but there wasn't that much sun when I swatched them. Maybe that has something to do with it...or maybe I'm trying to come up with excuses for Essence >:(

ALSO....another slight downfall for me is how creamy the product is. If you look at the picture above, I put quite a dent in these liners. The problem with that is I ONLY SWATCHED THESE LINERS ONCE....

In my opinion, by the pictures, it looks like I've used those liners at least 3 times each.
But, again, maybe that's just me :P

I just hope that the creaminess doesn't give me less product to work with overtime....

My final thoughts.
These liners are $3.49 each, so I do believe that the price is amazing. Love that about them.
The pigmentation is awesome, unless you're expecting shimmer...*tear*
The staying power of these liners is GREAT.
They are very VERY creamy liners. This is both good and bad. Makes them easier to use, yet gives me less product..in my opinion.
I hope this review and these swatches are useful to you, even though the lighting isn't the best...
Most product reviews & swatches coming soon ^_^
XoXo
