I never did do a blog post on the Wet N' Wild Cosmetics Holiday Palettes, and I totally should have. I used those palettes almost every day in December, and I'm still using them! My favorite was the Night Elf palette (pic to the left). It had the best pigmentation to me out of all four of the palettes, and it also hasa Mac Club dupe! And that dupe color is beautiful! It flashes blue or brown in certain light. It's one of those colors that looks great on everybody!
I did a makeup look during the month of December using the Night Elf palette. I actually forgot I took pictures of it until I looked on my computer today and found a random folder with the pictures in it! Lol! Here they are!
Hey sweeties! As I mentioned on my twitter Zoya had the hugest sale EVER. They were giving away FREE NAIL POLISH. Yes. FREE. All you had to do as a customer was pay for shipping, which was about $7, and you got to choose 3 different polishes for free! So I bought one and got the rest for free. 3-Free deal...can't beat that. I was beyond ecstatic to participate in such a sale so... I hauled ;)
Zoya Polishes From Left to Right: Elodie, Ki, Shawn, and Bijou
Zoya Elodie. Pinky-coral cream polish.
Zoya Shawn. Mossy green cream polish.
Zoya Bijou. A hot pink neon jelly polish WITH SHIMMER!
Zoya Ki. A duochrome polish that flashes purple and green. I haven't tried it on the nail yet, so it might even have another color aspect to it that I haven't noticed yet.
close up pic so you can see the duochrome!
Hopefully I'll have some swatch pictures up soon. My favorite so far in the bottle has to be Elodie, because I love the color coral. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint on the nail!
yes! The NEW Physicians Formula Happy Booster blush and face powder!! Yaaaay!!!!
Aren't they aodrable?
Video and review coming soon for these babies, which are NOW available at your local drugstore! I bought mine at Rite Aid. For now, check out my new mini lookbook video ^_^
it features some great pieces from Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, H&M and more! Even a skirt that was under $10!
I have sooo many old nail of the day pictures to post, it's ridiculous. They're all from the time when I wasn't blogging/didn't know how to blog/didn't feel like blogging. I have some old Halloween NOTDs and even a Christmas one. For shame...for SHAME.
I don't own many Hard Candy polishes, but the day after I put this one on, I went to Walmart and bought a few more. I think I'm in love with Hard Candy. Too bad it's a Walmart exclusive. I say this because I live by the most ghetto Walmart stores in the world. I'm almost positive that my Walmart has been featured on that website "People of Walmart" or whatever its called. It's the website with classic pictures of what NOT to wear. Ever. In life. Now, on to the pictures!
Hard Candy Lava layered with Savvy Glass Slipper
Hard Candy Lava seems to me to be a glittery foil (if thats even possible), with red and gold glitter. It's absolutely stunning. I had to jazz it up even more, so I added a nail polish from Sallys. I used Savvy Glass Slipper, which is a light blue shimmer polish. I wish I had direct sunlight the day I took these pictures, because my photos do NOT truly capture how lovely this mani was!
I'm starting to appreciate the winter season a bit more now. Only because I can pull out my furry scarf, and not look stupid while wearing it ^_^ That faux fur scarf is probably one of the best purchases I made all last year. I LOVE IT.
If you're a fan of Katy Perry, then you know she always seems to be sporting some pretty awesome nail designs. Well did you know she did a nail polish collection with one of my favorite nail polish companies?! Katy Perry created a nail polish collection with OPIthat includes four new nail polish colors and a black "crackle" polish, which is my favorite out of the collection. Last Friday Night, Not Like The Movies, Teenage Dream, and The One That Got Away are the four different polish colors included in the collection. In all honestly, those colors didn't really call to me. The only one I bought was the crackle polish, which is called Black Shatter.I was so happy to pick this one up because I've never owned a crackle polish before! When I was younger, I believe Cover Girl released a few crackle polishes. However, I was a child at the time, so I didn't have the money for it, and my mom didn't believe in buying nail polish for a child..go figure =\ Anyways, now I finally have my hands on my very own crackle polish, and I am so happy with it! In case you didn't know, crackle polishes are a sort of topcoat. You apply the crackle topcoat over a base color, and the polish begins to make a cracked effect on the nail. It gives off this cool shattered look, leaving your nails looking edgy and rockin'!
This is OPI Black Shatter over Klean Color Pink Holo. I used one coat of Black Shatter. This polish dries matte, so if you want a shiny finish, I suggest you add a nice topcoat. Topcoat will also help make the polish stay on longer =)
Who needs a Super Man when you can have a WONDER WOMAN?? ;D
I see my wallet is going to be crying a river next month because that's when Mac's new Wonder Woman inspired collection will be released! I've been a DC Comics fan all my life, so when I first heard about this collection I was jumping for joy! I know everyone doesn't feel the same way, but I LOVE the packaging! It reminds me of the comic book! Is anyone else excited? Will you be picking up anything from this collection? U.S. Launch date: February 10, 2011
Hey sweeties! As soon as I saw the promotional cover art for Britney Spears' new single "Hold It Against Me" I knew I HAD to do my own version of it. Her makeup looks fierce, yet natural, and I love that aspect of it.
Ignore the brows...I'm going through a transitional phase with them at the moment :P
Heyyyyy sweeties! So recently I've been OBSESSED with creme polishes. I can't help myself! It's all I've been wearing for two weeks straight. I don't know what's going on with me, but I'm not used to this. For the past couple of months I've been wearing shimmery and glittery polishes for Christmas and my birthday, so maybe that's the problem. Maybe my eyes need a rest from all the sparkles :P Anyways, here's the color I put on today, and instantly fell in love with! It's a nail polish from American Apparel called Mac Arthur Park. It's not your average nail polish color, and because of that I LOVE it! And yes, I know there's air bubbles on my nails. I was testing out my new top coat, Nail Tek Quicken Top Coat, and I don't like it =\ I miss my Seche Vite! I lost it last week.. I need to take my butt to Sallys and go pick up a new one, because air bubbles are quite irritating..lol.
My mom says the color looks like baby poo (SMH!), but I don't care...I think it's beautiful and unique!
What do you think of this shade? Would you ever wear it?
Heyyyyyyy sweeties! Since I showed these lipsticks in my video ( CVS Beauty Clearance Vid ) and in my previous blogpost, I figured I'd swatch them for you so you knew what they looked like! These are my first makeup swatches on my blog, so don't flame me for not having perfect swatches pleeeeease!
