NOTD (Or More Appropriately, NOTW/Nail Of The Week): Sally Hansen Yellow Kitty!

I never thought I could love a yellow polish so much....

UNTIL NOW!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish in Yellow Kitty is, hands down, my favorite yellow nail polish of this summer!
As some of you know, pastels are a favorite color group of mine. Pastel yellow is exceptionally ahead of the game in pastels for ME. I can't get enough of them! I love this polish so much, I've been wearing it all week!

A big let down is that Yellow Kitty is not as dreamy in application as it is in color :(
All I got was a streaky mess on my nails until the 3rd coat of polish, but for this color, I'll endure the painful application.

I especially loved wearing this polish with this outfit!
(blouse: thrifted, shorts: forever 21, necklace: jewelmint)

The contrast of the yellow and the blue was dreamy!

Have you rocked yellow nails recently? Are they a hit or miss for you? Let me know your thoughts below!

Outfit Of The Day 10/13/11 + China Glaze Traffic Jam

Soooo...the sickness that I thought was gone...is totally NOT.
Why me Baby Jesus??? :(

So I'm blogging while coughing, which is not as easy as it sounds. Especially whilst coughing, your whole body moves & shakes. Not a fun time...
BUT I told you lovely people that I would have this blog post up, so I'm putting it up! It's my first outfit of the day post that will be exclusive to my blog only. If you're subscribed to my youtube channel, you know I usually post an outfit of the day video there, and post the pictures of that same outfit here. From now on, I'm going to have more outfit of the day posts on my blog only. I'm pretty excited about doing this! I feel like it makes my blog a lil' more special ♥
Anyways, here it is!

Sweater - H&M
Necklace - Forever 21
Shoes - Forever 21
Belt - Thrift
Nails - China Glaze Skyscraper (ring finger), NYC Little Italy (middle), & Sally Hansen Shiny Penny (index pinky)

As you guys can see, I mixed a pastel with not only one, but two metallic colors- gold & silver! Yes, very odd combo, yet it WORKS! At least, I like to think so ; )
And here's a swatch of China Glaze Traffic Jam, one of the polishes I bought from Sallys recently. I mentioned it in a video, so I figured I'd swatch it in case anyone was interested in it! It's a very nice magenta-berry creme polish.

So what do you guys think of my outfit?
Also, what are your thoughts on China Glaze Traffic Jam?
Let me know below! =)
XoXo

Nail Of The Day: Sally Hansen FIrst Kiss (Spring 2011 Tracey Reese Collection)

I'm not the biggest fan of pink polish, but for this baby I'll make an exception!

Pink salmon-y goodness ♥
It truly works with darker skin tones wonderfully!
I've worn this polish all week though...it's past chip-tastic at this point. I SERIOUSLY need to change my nail color >_<

what do you think of Sally Hansen's First Kiss?

Also, here's a song that's been stuck in my head all day by one of my favorite "unknown" artists Teedra Moses. The song is called "Last Day" ^_^

July Favorites 2011!

I never usually do a "Favorites" post on my blog, but this month I figured...why not?

I didn't have too many new beauty or fashion favorites this month...

the three "beauty" favorties were:
- Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Antiqued Gold
- Lip Smackers in Fanta Strawberry
- Mac Pro Longwear Foundation

I was skeptical when purchasing the Sally Hansen crackle topcoats, only because I had heard such negative things about them after they were released. However, Antiqued Gold is a great crackle topcoat! Not only does it dry fast, it also looks great over every color! It also cracks very nicely on the nail.

I always love Lip Smackers lip balms. Always. I think you're never too old for Lip Smackers!
I bought a variety pack a few months ago, and so far my favorite out of the pack is Fanta Strawberry. It's very moisturizing, and tastes just like strawberry soda. What's not to love about that?

As far as the Mac Pro Longwear foundation, I find the formula to be very similar to their Studio Fix Fluid. The only difference is that it lasts way longer! It lasts all day for me. I can put in on in the morning, and not touch it up at all throughout the day. I ♥ it!

Also, this past month, my love for Big Red gum was rekindled...
I bought two packs last month...chewed it all the time...I was addicted -__-

BUT
Wrigley's has raised their gum prices!!!
WHAT THE HECK WRIGLEY! I don't wanna pay $1.50 for a slim pack of gum! >:o

whatever though...darn economy...

If you want to know about my other favorites this month, please check out my video below =)

Nail Of The Day: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Going Green + Sally Hansen Crackle + GLITTER!

This has got to be one of my favorite NOTDs (nail of the day) in a while ^_^
On my nails, I'm wearing Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Going Green. On my thumb nail, I'm wearing Sally Hansen Antiqued Gold. On my ring ringer, I decided to add one of my favorite glitter polishes before adding the crackle overcoat. I used Hard Candy Break Up under the Sally Hansen Distressed Denim crackle.

Can you see the glitter? Can you seeee it???
Hardly, I'm sure...the sun kept deciding to play hide & seek while I was trying to take my pictures....darn you sun!

Also, I have recently been featured on the American Apparel site!
 WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited! I've never been featured...anywhere. Ever.
My nail art using their Trench Coat nail polish was featured on their "Best of Seen and Submitted" section of their website!! :D

Nail Of The Day: Sally Hansen Delphinium (Spring 2011 Tracey Reese Collection)

I seriously cannot get enough of Sally Hansen's Spring 2011 Tracey Reese collection!

Delphinium is the perfect dusty lavender for me! ^_^

I'm in love guys....

It's pastel, but not too pastel-y...just lovely!
Sally Hansen's Delphinium is available at Rite Aid and Walgreens for about $7.99. They were also carrying the Tracey Reese collection at Target last month, but I'm assuming most of the colors are sold out already since they were only $5 there. Feel free to still try your luck at your local Target if you're interested! I know if I tried, I would fail (totally not even close to being the luckiest person in the world, unfortunately...).

If you'd like to know more about Sally Hansen's designer collection for this Spring please click HERE for my original post!

What are your opinions on "dusty" pastel colors? Cute? Or not "Springy" enough? And did any of you pick up a color from Sally Hansen's spring line? =)

Nail Of The Day: Sally Hansen Eel Skin (Spring 2011 Prabal Gurung Collection)

I think I may have finally found a gray nail polish for me...

I don't usually wear gray polish, because I feel that it looks like crap on me. BUT I think I like this one!

This is Eel Skin from Sally Hansen's new Spring Prabal Gurung Collection. I found this at Walgreens for $7.99 ($6.99 with a coupon!).
This is a part of that same designer collection I mentioned in my previous post. I found most of the collection at Target, but this little sucker was not on the collection's display. I was afraid they weren't going to release this color. Thankfully, Walgreens came through for me!
What are your thoughts on gray nail polish? Yay or Nay?

Random Swatch: Sally Hansen Coral Fever (Spring 2011 Tracey Reese Collection)

I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this before, but coral has got to be one of my favorite colors of the moment. I'm even starting to think I need to add more coral pieces to my wardrobe, I love it so much!
Until I get the chance to do that, coral nail polish can help with my coral cravings.
This is Sally Hansen's new Coral Fever polish from the Spring 2011 Tracey Reese collection. I. Am. In. Love.
It's funny because I thought my favorite out of the collection would be the Barracuda polish. I haven't swatched that one yet, but I'm thinking Coral Fever beats that one out already!

I think this color would look great against most skintones, but if you're around my complexion I think this color is a must!

*applauds Sally Hansen*
Job well done!

Sally Hansen Spring 2011 Designer Collection haul + Some Jewelry!

Hey ladies & gents! I missed you all!! XoXo!!!

I've got a nail polish haul post for you all today :D
I was waiting and waiting for this collection to be released, and it FINALLY was. However, it was released at the most unlikely of places!! I found the new Tracy Reese and Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Spring 2011 Collection at TARGET!

Normally, the limited edition collections for Sally Hansen are carried at drugstores like Walgreens and Rite Aid, so when I found out they were selling them at Target I was shocked! Not only were they being sold at Target, but they were also being sold at Target for under the usual retail price!!! *insert happy dance here* I couldn't believe my eyes! When I found the display (which I should have taken a picture of..smh) I grabbed the colors I wanted first, then I checked out the price. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes usually retail for about $7 - $8. At Target, the new Spring collection was priced at $5 a pop! Whoohoo!!

Here's the colors I picked up!
From left to right: Model Behavior,  Barracuda, Delphinium, First Kiss, & Coral Fever

I went to two different target stores in total to find every color I wanted. Yeaaa....I was a little bit obsessed with finding Barracuda and First Kiss lol! Barracuda was sold out almost EVERYWHERE. Trust me, I called around. If you want Barracuda I suggest you hurry to your nearest Target, because that color is obviously the hot seller of the collection! I'll try to have swatches posted soon if you guys would like to see them =)

Now, on to the jewelry!

Within less than 24 hours, this necklace has become one of my favorites!! I'm am LOVING this tribal trend that's going on right now in the fashion world. I am also very pleased that Target is picking up on the trend! I got this lovely necklace from the same Target where I picked up Sally Hansen Barracuda. This necklace is so ME! The rainbow colors, the patterns.. ♥ ! Right after I purchased it, I threw off the tag and put it on! I believe this necklace was $14. It's a great piece for this Spring and Summer!

This necklace I got from my mom =)
She just gave it to me today, and I really like it! Again, it ties in with the tribal, Navajo trend that's going on with fashion this season. I plan on wearing this necklace either alone, or with the other necklace I just showed you from Target. I think the combination will look quite nice!

What do you all think of this tribal trend that's becoming so big this season? Hot or not?
Also, what do you think of the new Sally Hansen Spring 2011 collection?

My St. Patrick's Day FOTD

Yea yea....I'm hella days late. My bad, my loves!!! Hopefully you don't mind ^_^

On St. Patty's Day, I wore a green smokey eye look, because I didn't feel like wearing green clothing..lol!
For the look I used the Wet N' Wild Snow Sprite Palette from the holiday collection that was released last year. If you are a subscriber of my Youtube channel, you know I did a video on that whole collection and that I loved it. I still love each and every palette that was released in that collection... ♥

Please excuse the poor quality of the photos...I used my camera phone to take the pictures.

Later that day, I put on a mint green beret so that I wouldn't get pinched! On my lips I'm just wearing a Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment lipgloss that I got from CVS for a dollar =)
