Makeup Look: Rihanna VMA/Video Music Awards 2012

The Barbadian beauty strikes again!

Pop princess Rihanna was looking like a classic Hollywood beauty at the Video Music Awards this year! 

Her lovely self also won VIDEO OF THE YEAR! *fist pumps*

Her mega hit "We Found Love" won her that top spot, and I feel like that win was well deserved! That video was HOT, and had a very interesting story to tell.

Her makeup on the red carpet was as lovely and classic as ever, so yall know I had to do my own version of the look! ^_~

A Peek Into My Summer Style!

This summer, color has been the name of the game for me, in terms of fashion and what I've chosen to wear. I love color, especially in the spring and summer! Those are the best seasons to pretend to be Rainbow Brite's best friend, just as I have ^_^

 These past couple of months, I've tried to incorporate bright colors into most, if not ALL, of my summer outfits.

(earrings: f21, rings: vintage, neckalce: jewelmint, bracelets: forever 21, h&m)

It's funny, though, because my jewelry has been pretty toned down this summer. Not too colorful, and mostly silver and gold. Hmm. Kind of odd for me, but whatevs!

This is an outfit I wore last week. This probably has to be one of my favorite outfits I wore this summer! It's a bustier from Urban Outfitters, thrifted belt, and thrifted shorts.

These Forever 21 nude oxfords have officially been worn the hell out..LOL! They are my favorite pair of flats this summer, because they are the perfect pair of shoes to tone down any colorful outfit. As said previously, I've been one colorful lady this summer, so these shoes were perfect for me!

This was my Face Of The Day I wore the day I was wearing my "favorite" outfit of this summer!

Very bright and colorful, just like I like it! ♥

Beyoncé Inspired Outfit Of The Day/Look For Less + FOTD!

Hello lovlies!!!

Long time, no blog post....my bad :(

On the other hand, I have a nice lil' outfit of the day post for you guys today! 

This outfit was inspired by the lovely R&B goddess, Beyoncé!!!

Beyoncé is always a class act, especially when it comes to her outfits of choice. A couple of weeks ago, 

she was spotted in a red tuxedo blazer by Dsquared² and a pair of skinny leather pants by J Brand. The blazer runs for about $560, while the leather pants are about $600.

I LOOOOVED her outfit, and realized that I had similar pieces in my closet already (Don't you just love when that happens) !

For my eyes, I used the Too Faced Naked Eye Palette. That palette is one of my favorite neutral palettes of all time! On my cheeks, I was wearing Maybelline New York Expert Wear Blush in Pinch o' Pink #20. On my lips, I had on L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude #800.

On Essence Magazine's June 2012 Cover, Mary J. Blige is looking like a majestic African Queen! ♥

They don't call her the Queen of R&B for nothin'!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE her make up on the cover, so I did my own version of it ^_^

I love the smokey aspect of the eyes...

I flushed out the cheeks a bit, and kept the lips natural, just like Mary J.!

Wet N' Wild Dream Weavers - We're Blasting Off (Swatches & Makeup Look)

I will never be able to proclaim my love for Wet N' Wild enough...never ever ever..EVER.

Recently, they released the Dream Weavers collection. It's a collection of 6 different, limited edition eyeshadow trios. Luckily, I was able to find all 6!

I plan on doing future makeup looks or tutorials with these trios, and the first one I chose to use was the We're Blasting Off trio.

We're Blasting Off is the "tamest" of all 6 of the trios.

A light bubble gum pink, a brownish burgundy with pink shimmer, and a light champagne color are what's included in this trio. My only complaint is that the light pink color is slightly chalky. Besides that,though, this is a great palette.

 For this makeup look you see to the left, I used all Wet N' Wild products on the eyes, with the exception of liner, mascara, and lashes.

MAC Semi Precious Makeup Look: Golden Gaze

Can I just say that mineralize eyeshadows are the BOMB.com?!

MAC recently released a new makeup collection called the Semi Precious collection, and I did this makeup look using one of the eyeshadows from the collection. The eyeshadow I used is called Golden Gaze, my favorite eyeshadow from the entire collection! ♥
