Hello my loves!
To the surprise of many, October is not only Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's also Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
"The cycle of abuse ends with awareness."
After years and years of silence and indifference, it's great to see that our country is becoming more aware of what domestic violence is, and how it can affect any and every one.
I did this makeup look in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Purple is the official color associated with DVAM, so I used mostly that color for this look.
(close up of my bad skin...yay -__- )
Wet N' Wild Vanity Palette (soft brown dupe as base color)
MAC Cutie Palette (used every color in the quad! White as highlight, light pink in crease & inner corner, Light lavender over the pink, dark purple in deep crease)
NYX Nude on Nude palette (the white, beige-y color on lid)
Wet N' Wild Greed palette (black shimmer color under lower lashes)
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara
Maybelline Eye Studio Blackest Black gel liner
Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo (for blush & contour)
natural lip liner
MAC Pink Friday lipstick
As a DV survivor myself, I'd like to let anyone who is or was in a bad situation know there is always sunlight at the end of the tunnel...you will smile again, and there is ALWAYS help if you need it.
